Recently we have uncovered details of two companies using the regulated details of employees at two reputable regulated companies. It seems that this is a tactic being used by certain boiler rooms to add credibility to their offers.
Over the past week some of our members have received offers from individuals claiming to be from regulated brokerages. After speaking to these companies mentioned it was confirmed that this was not the case.
Please remember if you receive a cold call recommendation from someone claiming to be regulated, that you do not deal with already, then please call us or check the FSA register to clarify the person you are speaking to is legitimate.
If a broker works on behalf of more than one regulated company then his details will show up on the FSA register. For more information on these contacts please contact us.
